There are several benefits we all gain from work experience and, personally, engaging in a work experience at a pharmacy has helped enhance my skills and attributes.
For example, I have been able to take part in clinical tasks such as assisting patients when they are requesting their medications and being sensitive to individuals that are finding their physical and emotional conditions quite upsetting. During my work experience, I have also been able acquire more knowledge about confidentiality in the health setting, such as the importance of shredding which helps me to be aware on how to protect and keep the confidentiality of the individuals I will go on and perhaps work with in the future.
